We are delighted to announce that Joanne Ash will be standing for Reform UK in Rossendale South in the up and coming Lancashire County Council elections on May 1st 2025.

Joanne states "I am honoured and excited to be standing as Reform UK Candidate for Rossendale South in the Lancashire County Council Elections on 1st May 2025. I will be speaking for the people of Greenfield & Eden Ward and Longholme Ward."
"I was a Conservative voter for many years and changed to Reform UK in the last General Election (supporting Daniel Matchett) as Reform UK is the only party who are the voice for the working person. It is the only voice for law and order. As a retired Police Officer I have seen the problems caused by the ‘woke brigade’ and ideology replacing fact and reality. Conservative and Labour are, in my opinion, now two sides of the same coin. Change is needed."
Joanne will tackle local issues that cause the most concern to our residents:
Potholes in the roads causing damage to vehicles and endangering all road users including pedestrians and cyclists.
Empty houses and property not being used to house local residents. Large areas of Brown Field Sites, with amenities and access, being ignored by developers as they can gain more profit by building large (non-affordable housing) on Green Belt ruining the land enjoyed by residents young and old.
Saying no to unnecessary Net Zero projects that do not work, are only about virtue-signalling and will impoverish the local residents. This includes the Scout Moor 2 Project which will damage the natural landscape and will not provide cheaper energy to the area.
"The community needs a voice, someone who is not afraid to speak their mind, and I am happy to stand and be counted."
Vote for change. Vote for a voice. Vote for Reform UK.
