Reform UK is proud to introduce Angela Crane as our prospective candidate for West Pennine Ward in the upcoming Blackburn with Darwen local elections on May 7th, 2026.
Angela is not a career politician. She is a farmer, a wife, a mother and most importantly, a fellow resident...one of you. Her decision to stand comes from a deep sense of responsibility to her community and a growing concern about the direction of both local and national leadership.

“I’ve stepped forward as a prospective councillor for Reform UK because consecutive governments at national and local level have disappointed, failed and quite frankly worried me. Too many decisions are being made without listening to ordinary people like us.”
Angela believes strongly in the importance of democratic accountability and the right of residents to have their voices heard. She has been particularly motivated by what she sees as increasing attempts to sideline public opinion.
“To interfere with democracy is to interfere with our freedoms. It’s a thinly disguised attempt to prevent us, the British people, from holding the establishment to account. Reform UK has already stood up and fought on behalf of voters to protect that right.”
At the heart of Angela’s campaign is a clear commitment to represent local people honestly and without compromise.
“I will listen, I will hear you, and I will be your voice. I will not be bullied, intimidated or silenced. I care deeply about our community and will work on your behalf.”
Angela is focused on the issues that matter most to residents in West Pennine. These include tackling rural crime, improving safety on our streets, protecting and strengthening public services and ensuring taxpayers receive better value for money. She is also passionate about addressing vandalism, improving public transport and creating safe spaces and opportunities for young people.
“Our communities deserve better. We need representatives who put residents first, who are accountable, and who will stand up for what is right.”
Angela brings real-life experience, determination and a genuine connection to the people she hopes to serve.
On May 7th, voters in West Pennine ward will have the opportunity to choose a new direction. Angela Crane and Reform UK are ready to deliver it.
